Due to the heavy rain, followed by drought, our crops failed this season. To provide two meals a day for our 600-plus students, teachers, and staff, we need to purchase beans and maize until our next harvest in July 2027.
We need $2,500 a month to provide for our monthly grocery essentials. (Remarkably, it costs only $3.60 to feed one child two meals for an entire month.)
Additionally, rising fuel prices add an extra $300 burden to our weekly budget. We need to keep our five buses running!
