Description

(Mature Size: 6″T x 15″W) (Asarum europaeum)

 

Excellent ground cover that forms a dense mound of very shiny green leaves that are evergreen in warmer climates.

Will naturalize itself as it does spread by seed but is not invasive. Actually kind of cool that it pops up here and there once naturalized.

 

The glossy green leaves look nice with blue and gold hostas and the silvery painted ferns.

 

Plant a few of them in your gardens then enjoy them for a long time!

Virtually no pests or disease problems with this beauty.

Burgundy flowers in late spring are borne under the leaves and often not seen, but this ginger is grown for it’s intense leaf color.
