Final building starts!

We needed to move our electricity pole to start construction. Another expense, but necessary.
Sand is added after the concrete is poured.

Thank you everyone for your support.

The outlined price below is for the current 6 rooms, 3 on the first level and 3 on the second level as pictured above. This the old total for the pictured school building, but we must not be short sighted, but rather plan and build for the future.

The road literally washed out in the recent rains. Immediate help was needed!

Donors stepped up and supplied the funds to fix the road.  8 truck loads of dirt are added, but that is not the total solution. Our buses get stuck in loose dirt. Larger rocks are needed.
Where should we find these larger rocks?
How about finding these larger rocks right on our school grounds.
Large rocks from the school grounds are moved to the road.
8 truckloads of smaller rocks are added to the school grounds.
Now the children are able to play and not get hurt on the big rocks. With the smaller rocks in place, when the rains come, the ground will not be all mud.
We are dubbing this the ‘Wright Road Improvement Project’, as three donors were instrumental in funding this vital need. Thank you Bruce, Gary and Sylvia!

Government-required fence is taking shape.

Pebbles and moram arrived for making the concrete.
They constructed 50 forms. 140 wooden pillars are needed.
It takes 3 days for the cement to harden in the form.

Beginning the construction of the school main entrance. There will be a required gate with brick walls on either sides of the gate. The rest of the perimeter of the grounds will be a fence.

Our welder, Hamimu Macha, has been working at our school from the very beginning. He literally has made everything, that is made from steel, at our school!
This will be the school gate . Hamimu Macha will be fabricating the school gates.
Starting to work on the gate. I will be excited to see how it turns out!
